The Convention recently reached its 750th membership which means that we
are now completely full.
We are delighted that so many of you will be joining us, sad that some
of you have been disappointed at being too late to join. The only option
now available is to join the wait list held by the membership secretary
- - please contact info [at] dwcon.org if you want to do this.
However for those of you unable to be with us this year, for whatever
reason, I can reassure you that there will be another all new, all
shiny, singing and dancing Discworld Convention in 2008, steered on its
way by our DWCon 2008 Chairman Elect. The Chairman's identity and the
theme for 2008 will be unveiled at the convention and followed up with a
press release which will be published on the Convention Site which will
still be at:
<http://www.dwcon.org>
So keep reading if you want the early news plus the live chronicle from
the event :-)
More information and the form to fill in in order to express early
interest in registering for 2008 will be available at the Convention. A
copy will also be on the website. A little later in the year more info
will appear along with the 2008 website . It will be a little later in
the year because by the end of August your Committee will need a few
weeks to regain their sanity and complete the transfer of
responsibilities to the continuing committee members and to the new
people joining the happy band!
